Bwanasoft's insufficient proof in 3DM2001SE

Hi,

i would like to address this issue about Bwanasoft. Although he is administrator of hwbot.org i think the rules should apply to all.

All of his 3DMark2001SE results lack ORB link or at least (i consired it sufficient proof giving) opened details tab about each of the test. Results should be blocked due to insufficient proof of validity - it's easy to post result of another HW or edit the score with the simple MSPaint. In many cases there isn't even CPUz opened.

If there are rules, they should apply to everyone, administrators included. And if there is justice, these results will get blocked and/or deleted just like everyone's that doesn't comply to the rules.

I'm totally agree with you. Before this there was a huge story abou Bwana and his bugs. He was ablr to prove that his results are not drawn in photoshop and that this bugs were a result of VistaMizer and other system modificators. But what he had with Palomino CPU's angry me a lot. All his Palomino CPU results are drawn in Photoshop. There is a prove for this, ask NeoForce or Antimony. But Hwbot administration didn't ban Bwana. Maximum whar you couls get is to get those results deleted. Bwana will never be banned but he certainly must be banned.

Guys, keep things a bit in perspective. 5 to 10% of the submissions of the average bencher have insufficient proof or other reasons not to allow the score. Bwana's is not any different. He has submitted over 1300 benchmark scores, no wonder 100 of them get reported.

I didn't check all links mentioned in the first post, but I don't see much reason to block them. They are normal for the hw used, they aren't extremely high oc's, and they have a decent screenshot. Seriously, isn't it a bit obsessive to report every score of bwanasoft you could find which does not have the details tab of 3dmark01 open? Afaik we don't require it.

Anyway, I let the decision up to the hwbot mods, I'm just the admin.

None of the scores are suspicious, they are in line with what to expect, just because the screenshot doesn't show 3D01 run's details, doesn't make the score a cheat.

Well maybe you should re-write rules. Just a combo box showing result isn't enough, where's the details about each and every test. It's too easy just to swap some numbers and make your result to the top of every (& especially hwbot rich) class.

I've spent 16 straight hours benching, providing every proof and you just seem to delete it few months after.

Get a grip, he's an admin, just say it... If there was any other user, he would get his results deleted.

Why would bwana bench 500 different systems, and photoshop a few to get 10 more? It makes little sense. We've seen his house, we've seen his benching session, he actually has gazillion processors.

Everyone has time to moan about the rules (and I don't blame that, i'd do it to), but no one has time to help set up a list of fool proof rules. We are only with a handful, and do our best. Either help us or stop using hwbot.

Both were submitted with wprime v1.58 way after 1 jan 2008: 25 feb 2008. This is a very clear violation of the wprime v1.55 rule, mate. We made the newspost twice, and the submission page clearly says to use v1.55. We can't help it performance differs that much between v1.58 and v1.55. I must say that we included the warning in the submission page after 1-1-2008, that was a fault on our side, but don't hold a grudge against bwana because he blocked your scores for a good reason. If anyone is to blame it's me for not putting it in huge bold letters on the submission page since day 1.

By the way, many of my scores were blocked or deleted too...

Richbastard, i was talking about QX9650 result that got deleted, not E8500. Jup, i guess i will stop using hwbot until the rule that forces people to show details tab in screenshot is applied.

Probably due to suspection of result sharing, because Moonman had result with 6600GT & QX9650 with same clockspeeds. Those weren't the same GeForces, although platforms & even Windows installation is the same. We had some ideas about SLI'ing them with old modified drivers at that time.

Anyway, it doesn't matter, i have improved my 6600GT results on a E8500 under SS, it can easily be deleted.

Did a quick search and found the score:

3Dmark 2001 - 41056 marks - 5126mhz - 610/630mhz

was blocked for the following reason: Need more verification (benchmark resolution), so not because of hardware sharing.

All his Palomino CPU results are drawn in Photoshop.

It is normal. LOL.

1. I never Paint any Screen.

2. I never Flash any Card like some other Guys.

3. I use only Free Edition, and when i use Pro or Advanced you can see the details.

4. Watch the Pics - 3DMark01 runs all seven test´s.

5. I´m Hardwarereseller and i have lot of Hardware from Customer or Friends.

6. I´m Cooling with Waterchiller and MACH II Single Stage ( i have three of them, but one iss killed at the moment )

7. I buy exact Hardware to test it and then i Sell it ( For Points and found Flasher.

8. Watch my entries about Wprime - I lost over 40 Ones about this Rules.

9. All can come to me and bench my Hardware in my Basement - no Problem.

10 i have over 100 CPU´s diffrent Systems, 9 Mainboards - from old to new ( XFX 790 Ultra with DDR3 - thats stupid stuff for 3D Benches )

At Saturday i make Pics from Basement and stuff only for some Guys.

Many CPU`S are from Customer where i fixed the Computers, and i bech it for me ! If this not allowed than i Cheat !

Most of my S462 CPU´s are from a friend who works at AMD / Dresden, when he comes i ask about new Benches and i hope you can sleep than.

Errrrr, I don't even get the problem with those scores. If you can see the score, gpu model, cpu model, resolution - and the score is what you expect from those clocks - why block the score? Sure, rules are there for a reason, but there must be room for honest mistakes. If the scores obviously were the result of a fair run - and no CRUCIAL information is missing (like gpu or cpu info) - then the score should be valid. Perhaps a note should be written to the owner of the scores so he can add the missing info in the screenshots he will amke in the future, but nothing more than that.

think over 130 can count it but Problem at my apparment run 8 PC and 1 Laptop, at Basement my Server ant finished S462 - S775 - S775 AGP - S478.

And my Chest Box, i count it.

On how many I know cpu-z 1.41 has no problems with CPUID on palomino and 0.13 or 0.18um! no difference what mobo you bench.
