I thought that was around average for a IVB chip.
Nicely done. love the zip with all the files in :p

1.3V is good :D
good job ... IB seems like a lot less restrained than SB was :)

As expected, DrWho (Mr. Piednoel from Intel) already responded in the XS thread about this. This is the quote:
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?279711-Ivy-3770K-amp-MSI-Z77A-GD65-LN2-results&p=5068812&viewfull=1#post5068812
Since I know exactly who you are, I am going to make sur you do not get anymore hardware from your hardware partner. (Fairly obvious that you got motherboards and other hardware from there) You are removed from the list of trustable people for Intel, deliberately violated NDA on an unreleased part.
If you want to get into any international overclocking competition, you can not be an NDA breaker, at least on my side of the blue sphere.
I warned! When you are out , you re out (circle of trust) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4oz4G3rO5zg
Francois Piednoel
PS: For the other, It is going to become systematic, I will spend the time to investigate each leak, and pick up the phone systematically. I got to protect my friends reviewers. You can play as much as you want with your NDA parts, just do not publish the results in any form
Notice the bold part.
OC_windforce has been taken part in live OC competitions before (MOA) ... I wonder if he'll be allowed in the next ones.
Francois didn't say "live" competitions .. so did Francois already ring hwbot? :D

So no boot at 62 multiplier then ? Cursor blinking ?
If it scales with cold, Phase Change units are going to be cheap again :p
PiFast was run at 60x, the others are likely lower for higher ram speeds I'd imagine.
Regardless, I'm excited :D

Binned SB CPU's too :D
Using the cascade as we speak with Duron 600.
Always a good investment.
how can Intel tell him he can't enter gigabyte's or MSI's contest? Is he going to be banned from international travel too?

smells like a BS :D
so does the one about preventing MSI from sending OC windforce stuff, lol.
Sorry MSI no chipset for you unless you toss this guy off your seeding list, MSI yea right okay.
Perhaps Intel will refuse to sponsor an event where he is a participant. Or they'll twist the hosts arm to not include him in whatever contest, on threat of reduced support.
Thread on XS seems to be deleted.

They closed it down to BS by some people (including me prolly)... wise decision in my book... promises were made, ofcourse nothing would be done as usual, just hunt the little guy and nail him to the wall...
He's not banned from anywhere and I don't think he will be ...

Or perhaps it's Francois being Francois, threatening loudly in public.
Honestly, I doubt that many people within Intel really care about this kind of leaking. It's a market segment that is oh-so-small and there's practically no competition; no matter who leaks what, Intel's not going to lose any market share or sell one mainboard less. On the contrary, this kind of leaking probably gets more people interested in the product.
Quite frankly, if Intel wanted leaks like this to be completely gone, they'd be able to do it. AMD can, Nvidia can, hell ... even Apple can. Instead, they keep shipping these ES samples in large quantities to ODM and OEM without having the companies account for them. The biggest advantage is that these companies actually use them for testing and validation, which makes Intel millions of dollars since everything works smoothly when it hits retail.
To be honest, I don't think they have much to say when Anandtech, one of the largests media sites (and US based!), still has their review up. A review! Not just some crazy extreme guy running 'pointless' applications. No. A genuine, full-blown, practical review detailing all aspects of Ivy Bridge.
Priorities ...
(that said, haven't had any request to take down the thread ... it's not just down to the size of my balls)

Jokes aside, I dont think anyone in this thread, not even mr.NDAmassbin will get that great a chip.
It's all turning into one big joke
Imo, it will be like SB, only different now is the Mhz...from 6Ghz to 7Ghz:)
If you lucky probly only 2 or 3 retail 3770Ks binned, if not then hundreds. Lol

Traditionally it has been always like this, just that with Sandybridge even air binning was possible and even air/water people were for the most part able to compete with DI/LN2 users. But it seems IB will again be a exclusive playground for LN2 users

That's not correct. The thread was closed because it was becoming a flamefest.
Then pulled to try and calm down the storm that it created.
I know because I closed it and later pulled it after speaking with Charles.
The other IB thread from that Meteor guy was pulled at his request which I also did.
Just so we're clear, I don't like closing or pulling threads and enjoy seeing the new hardware as much as the rest of you do.

Now that's me speaking as an admin at XS, my personal feelings are I find it interesting that nothing has been said about IB being shown at Anandtech and I mean nothing.
Also interesting that Intel has an advertising deal with that site thats into 5 figures/year
Also for how many years has coolater been leaking stuff and nothing has been done?
This reminds me of the schoolyard bully that only picks on the little kids but hasn't the balls to go after someone his own size.

Breaking NDA is just another business model ...
Not a joke, but a business model. Apparently, you should first always break NDA and then you get Intel sponsorships :D.
Seriously, I do not get why ANY professional website would still care about Intel's NDA ... too funny for words.

Isn't it enough to just close it, and all similar threads that may pop up about the same thing? It just feels like sensorship when it's deleted. Like the content is "dangerous" to someone. Speaking as as XS user, though... don't want to mix my roles here, as a HWBot moderator it's not my job to tell you how to moderate at XS:p
+1 to the Coolaler stuff, I wonder if anything will happen there...

The unsaid thing is that if you "just" close it the screenshots are still there,
As I said, I did just close it. Others made the decision to move it out of sight and I abided by those decisions.

and me with 5800 maybe? hahaa after 10 chips
You may get 6 gig chip, but it will degrade to 5.5 during 2nd session when you wanna gskill it ddr3200+ :p :D
I am happy if it runs on cascade smoothly - if there are any chips with cb/cbb I will get one for sure :D
gimme the 7gigi chip and i promise to don't use GSKILL over 2800 :D

Its very strange that when i do the Live Update that the 10.5 bios does not come up. and when i put it on a USB Drive and try to flash in the bios, the bios dosn't see it as being a legit bios to flash to. Any ideas on this? I am stuck on the 10.2 bios and it sucks. loool
Maybe I'm wrong but I read something about you need to update intel ME prior to use live update to flash newer bioses.
Saturday, I flashed my new gd65 from 1.2 to 1.5b3 without problems, but I did it via bios, not live update

I tried it in the bios using Live update. Then i tried it in DOS. Maybe i have something wrong. Did you flash in DOS?

If you download the bios package from the website, the package includes on how to do it via bios or via dos.
For bios update inside bios: you just need the bios in the root directory of the usb stick.

I think that MSI has a bad link on their website for the1.5b3 bios. The 1.3b2 bios you posted for me worked good. So i tried the 1.5b3 from the MSI website and still nothing. Can you post the 1.5b3 for me?
