We asked the same at CeBIT Kenny... I think they have got loads of those in stock and just adapt them to the PCB and parts underneath it... I hope the pot mounting will go flawless...

Not if you want to use a backplate...that little extra GPU power thingy would get crushed.

well in my experience with LN2 mode I can set VGPU more than 1.65 volt without any problem..so I think no more OCP....yess exactly power consumption very brutal ..I agree with that.

7970 Lightning and DCII haven't convinced me yet!
I mean that I haven't noticed anyone with huge clocks (elmor doesn't count once he is working for MSI).
On the other side many ref. cards have scaled at 1600+ core.

yes, the max limits of Tahiti GPU you can reach with reference card, Lightning is not better on air/on ln2 then reference cards, great features ... but for nothing. And for 600 USD? No way ... this is 3-months King, real champion will be GTX 680 Lightning ... with beefy VRM

Till the time Nvidia drivers give option to set Tesselation ON/OFF, I doubt GTX680 can really take off among overclockers. It needs insane clocks like Vince's results to break 7970 records.

Mini-DP to Dual Link DVI. Not too hard.

It's not supplied in the retail package and it costs 109$ on Amazon :)

P.S: Regular miniDP -> DVI adapters shipped with various VGAs work in single-link mode only so it will not work...

P.S 2: Did anyone test with GPU Reactor on and off? From my tests on air I saw little to no difference (maybe stable with less voltage at same clocks but I must test again to confirm)

I find that a very weak argument. If it had been banned, you'd just search for scores that seem to high and remove them.
Just like scores using mipmap or other weird tricks, hwbot simply spot's and removes. No need to blame Futuremark. :)

Tesselation has different levels, so trying to spot a 'tuned' one would turn into a complete witchhunt.

You might find it weak, but for the people who have to moderate the results it's a big issue.

Totally right - imo there was no way for hwbot to ban "tesslation tweak" except inhuman workload...

...if you feel different, just spent 2500€ / month to hwbot to pay a "full-time-result-moderator"...they might think about it then.

What kind of max clocks others got on air? (More importantly, what then they can do with ln2 ;) )

Just got mine card yestarday and on air it can do only 1200MHz on core with 1.175v. More vcore wont help.
Maybe this one does even more with LN2 then, first i try cold water and later this month ln2 hopefully!

Other drivers didnt help at all. 1180/1800 max or 1200/1700. (12.3 and 12.4 drivers tested so far)
Hopefully it scales even more with temperature. On those runs max temp was around 70c.

Petris ref card did only 1200MHz on air and ~1650MHz on LN2 if i remember right :)

I'm so fed up with this country, I can't even begin to explain it.
Pretty sure there is one member here that heartly welcomes you to his "D" country

about what mine clocks to max on air, it is not as good as my reference Sapphire card which clocks to 1330/1875 on air and runs much cooler but I am sure the Lightning will be better under cold.

but man it is a pretty card, and so much quieter than the reference designed cooler.

what is the ASIC value on yours Splave?
