Alright, just booked my room, so I have to go to CeBIT now! I was wondering if anyone else is going too and if anyone knows about an OC event that's going to happen during CeBIT.

Would be nice to have a beer (or two or three)

i am not sure about benching just heard, but a friend said only their branch or distributor will be there, hope it's not true and they make something, german friends should be know better about this.

Just ordered plane tickets to Hannover :) I guess I'll be there a day or two. At least 10th if I can get a cheap student ticket for that day, said it was available at 19 euro on the site.

No idea, I have a friend in Hannover, so I'm visiting him - just happened to be so lucky that his holidays matched the CeBit dates:) I can ask Stoolie if you like.

Okay, so just got confirmed there's not going to be any ASUS booth at all this year! They're just organizing a press meet before CeBIT.

From what I see in other 'areas', ASUS have seriously cut their marketing budgets recently ... sales drop or greed? :D

from Russia will be slamms, Smoke and NeoForce.

Hm. I don't think it's related to sales drop. Greed, possibly, although they have a good track record when it comes to figuring out how to make money.

What areas are you refering to? I'm not following Asus too closely, but from the looks of it they are trying to break into different markets. Maybe budgets just shifted to other departments.

Or, well, the financial crisis :p
