HWBOT OC Challenge, January 2010

robot1.pngAs of 2010, HWBOT will be hosting a monthly OC Challenge which will feature one hardware limitation and one specific benchmark. The aim is to get your overclocking minds of the normal overclocking game and focus on a hardware/benchmark combination that is not so common. These challenges will not feature big money prizes, but the winner does get a special achievement award. The hardware required for this competition will be kept as low-cost as possible.

We’re currently in the design phase of all the different stages, so the competition page might not be up before 01/01. We can, however, tell you that the first stage will be “Geforce 4 – 3DMark03“.

More information will follow shortly!

Well i've one GF4 4600TI, i might just test can i get anykinda result with it :P
But i need to find either LGA775 agp board or pentium m board...

Well Asrock mobos don't really cost nothing even they would be new.

i think 3dmark03 will be heavily gpu depended on those cards.

When all goes right, ill get a TI4200 for 5€ But only have sucky SocketA-Platform for AGP-Cards :/

It'll do alright for 3dm03... it's most about gpu and less about cpu anyway. Just take a look at the results in those categories and you'll be amazed at how well you theoretically can do with that socket A
