Now I am sure that I am not a power user, and not a tweaker, I need a teacher

Violating the ethics of rules established for fairness such as Registry hacking, is always an issue as we are both aware.

This issue is laden with problems for which we may never find really viable answers. However, can we at least agree that HWBOT could, and should, make a statement that clearly indicates that they frown upon this practice, and do not condone the manipulation of benchmark defaults, no matter what method is used. The use of a driver's control panel to alter the benchmark's defaults, achieves the same results as a Registry hack, or any other means of benchmark corruption and should not be condoned.

With regards to driver validity and driver tweaking, our rules state that only official drivers may be used and that driver tweaking is accepted to the level of what's available in the user control panel. The debate on what should and should not be allowed is, in essence, the same debate as what's tweaking and what's cheating. In between both, there's quite a big grey area.

If it would have been practically possible to override the driver settings, it would have been done. The problem is we can't .

Ask ATI(AMD) to delete Tesselation from their drivers.
I don't remember when I used my GTX 580 that there was a tesselation option for nvidia cards.

Why would AMD remove that option?

According to the release notes, they added the option to allow the end-user to finetune the settings for maximum experience

I was joking
Of course we cannot remove that option.
Don't focus on this tesselation problem atm, focus on my Unigine HWBot Benchmark tool problem, that I still cannot get a score in every rig I tested

Well, thanks for listening and keeping the conversation on a mature, adult level. That, in and of itself, is difficult to achieve on many forums these days.

Scotty, I should have known....you're every where.

Maybe I've just been lucky, but I do find a level of maturity here that is sorely needed on some other forums.
