Guys....we really need to know more about this. I want to know the full story. How he did that app, and how it can be spotted. Spi is my favourite game, if this gets f**d up....To hell with o/c....I mean it...3D Marks are very nice...But Spi is the sweetest little benchmark ever.

Munstru, it's to early to pinpoint persons or declare theories... that's why I would like to ask the hwbot crew from not participating in discussions around this subject. We don't want to accuse people if they have nothing to do with it.

We know how to spot it, and we will ban people using it. I hope that suffices for now.

We'd rather not, if we point out the flaws, someone else might reprogram it without the flaws.

A sad day.
The validation being fixed would be a big help. But since that does not appear to be of any importance to those that have the ability to do so maybe it is time to start looking at a replacement.

It would be a shame to lose this popular and important bench. Rather than immediately calling to replace, I think more intense pressure, stressing the urgency to fix checksum validation would be appropriate.

The validator is been broke for more than a year....That means that is done by purpose not by accident, and that is a problem. SuperPi should not be replaced, but probably improved, with better anti cheat methods....

Kind of hard to be improved, when as you have rightly pointed out, the owner of the program can't even be bothered to fix the validation after all this time. I agree, Super_Pi should stay. But at the same time a benching program should have continual upkeep and this has not been the case.
