Exclamation HWBOT under DDOS attack

Since yesterday we are frequently under ddos attack. The origin of the attacker has been located and IP banned, but rejecting all those requests (currently at 30 requests / second) never the less take up resources too.

HWBOT may be slower until the attacks stop. Our appologies.

What sucks is that it's an overclocker doing this stuff. One from Denmark ...

During the attacks, we had up to 18MB/sec data transfer instead of the normal 1MB/sec. Good thing we noticed it today, otherwise we would have suffered both a lot of downtime and a huge data transfer bill.

FYI: In Germany you can get arrested for up to 3 years for this kind of stuff, punitive damages are also possible. The victim can also demand financial amends. I'm sure it's similar in the neighbouring countries. So it's not funny at all and "for the lulz" you awesome 1337-hack0r.
