AMD & TigerDirect Bulldozer World Record Attempt - Miami, Friday, Nov 4th 2011

Interesting event title. Should be an interesting stream. Who's going?

On Friday, November 4, 2011 from 6 pm to 9 pm TigerDirect.com Retail Store in Miami along with AMD, will attempt to break the World Over Clocking Record using the new AMD FX 8 Core CPU. The event will take place at 7795 West Flagler Street (off of the Palmetto Expressway). This event is free and open to the public with prize giveaways (AMD 6 and 8 Core CPUs will be given away), cheerleaders, and free snacks from Gamer Grub and Monster Energy Drink. TigerDirect TV will also be at this event streaming live! This is the biggest tech event happening in South Florida, you don’t want to miss it! It’s every geek’s ultimate event.

Love how stuff gets twisted.

I'm flying to miami thursday late running a gaming demo rig on ln2 live at tiger direct and leaving saturday early.

Nothing more.

Might add with all the drama i'm dealing with in real life atm I am not in the position or mindset to be worrying about breaking anything except for the system that i'm demoing on.

Heh, FWIW, that was a quote from TigerDirect; we're not trying to sensationalize chew*.

Hey, maybe you can use that marketing gimmick to your advantage. If the first chip doesn't do it, tell them to get another off the shelf. Continue ad nauseum until a) they're out of chips or b) you break the record. It's their fault for making it about that after all.

I do... I may not be at the level of you guys *YET*... But I do live in South Florida and I do bench.
And I will be attending this event. Hoping to beg/plead/convince chew* to make a run at the record once he's tired of the gaming demo. ;D
