the 440bx chipset supports both (edo+sdram) and there are edo rams which fit sdram-slots.

Did not know that some EDO were with sdram slot, interesting, how to know ? I mean what is the visual difference to see that ?

is it just a SDRam PCB with huge EDo chips on it ?

i didn't know it before, found the mems on the scrapyard.
it also says 60ns on the sticker of the mems. seems to be the last of the edos (1999) where the chips were soldered on sdram-"pcbs".

but of course they are slower than same cloked sdrams. still need to do some tests tough. they are also recognized as edos on my socket7 systems.
