Attention: ONLY official CPU-Z version for screenshot verification

As most of you already know, there are different utilities on the market that give you the exact same information as CPU-Z, but are in fact different programs from the official CPU-Z version. For screenshot verification, we insist on using the official CPU-Z only. If you want to add programs such as the Evga E-LEET Utility in your screenshot, you can do so as long as there’s an official CPU-Z present.
Also, we have found out that people are modifying CPU-Z to add their own or team name to the CPU-Z utility: again, you can use it as an extra, but do it next to the official CPU-Z version.

The staff is currently discussing applying the same rule to unofficial GPU-Z variants. Similar to the CPU-Z rule, the biggest problem is not knowing if a modified application is showing correct frequencies. Also, only using the official version keeps things as uniform as possible, making things much more transparent and clear for everyone.

Please let us know your opinion

Yea, I think it's a good idea. If the reputation of CPU-Z and GPu-Z is open for abuse, everyones verification is suddenly meaningless

Is this problem based on issues already happened about third party software which did not display correct infos, or it's a pro-active solution?

Old Hardware have problems with GPUz.

What about the nasty ROG CPUz?
Is this "official" enough for the rules?
