Default hwbot: E8700 not that good on LN2? First LN2 result below 6Ghz ...

He must've got a bad batch or something, I can't imagine ANY of my two chips will stop that early. One of my chips: Air cooled, 20c ambients, and 1.29v load.

From what I've seen and heard, it's pretty good on air cooling but doesn't go beyond great E8600's on LN2. The one result of Dualist seems to be quite poor (mb limited?), though.

His results are not that bad I think, the 8700s are great chips on air, but on ln2 they won't go much further. I don't know if Elano tested his chip on ln2, maybe he could chime in here.

Nah, not mobo limited, had that biostar up to 635fsb before. Was hoping it was gonna be as good as the E8600's but to no avail
I had poor efficiances too on the benches (bad/wrong OS) so I just sold it as fast as I could

take a rex x48 for it and MicronD9 memory 2000Mhz.

then it will run just fine, the dude that ran it on this hardware on H2O has this hardware and got it 5.2Ghz stable.

the other with LN² uses a crappy mobo for it.

The air dude must've had a COLD chip, if I push 1.5v through mine they'll be 100c easily. Especially the hottest one, which I didn't show here, which will overheat at maybe 1.46-1.47v load.
