Rig picture. Next week you can expect a small article on the memory and memory controller frequency scaling ...

The final runs for the upcoming NB/MEM scaling article here at the bot are done. Expect something to appear on the frontpage this week. Until then, here's what I was working on last night.

Nice!

Seems like I'm missing out on a lot of performance because of the ganged mode. Roughly 1.5K MB/s read bandwidth :-/

Pieter-Jan, what BIOS settings do you use for 2000+ MHz memory clock on Asus C4F?
My board can do only 1920 stable and 1959 for cpuz valid (dual channel, unganged mode):
http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=1209633
Tried 1:4, 3:10, 3:8 memory dividers - all ~1920 stable, ~1950 can load OS but unstable, 2000 - no post
In single channnel with one memory stick can do 2000 only for cpuz valid.
Memory tested on X58/P55 before and can overclock up to 2050 6-7-6.
BIOS 0801. Memory in black slots.
May be memory overclock limited by IMC of my 965 C3? Will try on 1090T X6 later...

EDIT: yes, looks like Thuban IMC slightly better than Deneb C3...
2006 6-7-6-18 1T with 1090T X6: http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=1210637

Booting 2000CL7 was eays peasy. Running 3D too, but 32M remained epic fail.

Feeding 1.7Vdimm on the GTX2 kit to stabilise test 5 in memtest, any lower and it would spew errors in Test 5 and 7....

Thuban's IMC is far superior, but 2000mhz efficiency is not as good as it looks on the CH IV... Try to pushing 1800-1900C6, a far better sweetspot...

Loving to test the new PCB rev of the UD7, apparently it clocks pretty good too with the Gskill Flare kit...
